International music star Alexandru Manciu is to appear at MAD-Aid’s Annual Summer Gala on the Isle of Wight, it has been announced.
The Summer Gala will take place at Rookley Village Hall on Saturday (June 24).
Alex, of Moldova’s Got Talent fame, has studied music production at London South Bank University, and will wow the crowds with his powerful voice and skilful violin playing.
He has released a wide range of songs, including the summery hit ‘Holiday’.
Alex will join the Fusion Party Band, who are also starring at the charity event, as well as popular Island magician Huxley. There is a raffle and charity auction too.
The summer gala, now in its second year, is from 5pm to midnight and will include a children’s area with face painting and other fun activities. Visitors can expect a family-friendly festival-like vibe.
The MAD-Aid Horsebox Bar will be offering a choice of cocktails, and there will be wine, beer, and a range of food with English and Moldovan influences.
In light of Alex joining the line-up, additional tickets have been released and are priced at £35 for adults and £15 for those ages five to 15, with under-fives free.
Family tickets are also available from the MAD-Aid website and directly from MAD-Aid DOT on York Avenue in East Cowes (during office hours).
All profits raised will go towards MAD-Aid’s projects, including the renovation of two wards in the main children’s hospital in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau.
