Firefighters have managed to stop a house fire in East Cowes spreading to a neighbouring property.
The owner of the address, in Princess Close, has escaped injury, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has told the County Press.
A neighbour alerted the owner of the blaze allowing them to leave in time, the fire service said.
Crews are dampening down the incident.

Four appliances from Cowes, Ryde, Newport and Sandown fire stations were called.
An aerial ladder platform, was also alerted at around 1.15pm.
The fire ripped through the semi-detatched property's roof.

Jeff Walls, group commander for the Isle of Wight, told the County Press: "We've reduced the fire. It has created a bit of situation in terms of instability on the first floor.
"We are looking at how we approach that. So we're going to be using some ladders from outside and some breathing apparatus internally."
At the fire's height, smoke could be seen from miles around.
