CAST your eyes to the skies for a special drone light show this weekend – that’s a tip off from Isle of Wight Festival promoter, John Giddings.
On Thursday, Mr Giddings said Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker was “in the house” – and came with nine trucks packed full of equipment ahead of tonight’s show on the Main Stage.
He said it will be phenomenal.
Mr Giddings said he himself is particularly excited to see One Republic, The Courteeners, Flo, The Last Dinner Party and Germein.
He is even set to perform a song of his own with his school band on Saturday afternoon.
Once again, the County Press is running a series of Isle of Wight Festival live blogs this weekend.
Whether it's your first time here or your 20th, we will have everything you need - photos, videos, live updates from the field and more.

Speaking about the drone light show, he said: “I met the organisers in Australia last November and asked them to come and promote the Isle of Wight Festival.
“They said sure, so always look over the Big Top at the end of the show.”
Sold out this year, as many as 55,000 people are expected at Seaclose Park this weekend.

“We had more than that one year and I decided to keep the capacity at the right level,” said Mr Giddings.
“I don’t want people being too crowded – it puts people off coming the next year.
“I want people to feel comfortable in the situation. I think this site fits 55,000 people, not more.

“I think it sold out this year because Muse were incredible last year, and we put early bird tickets up for sale and I had to stop it at 22,000 because I didn’t want to sell all the tickets cheaply.
“I reckon half the audience come because they like the show and the entertainment that goes with it, and the other half come depending on who is on the bill.
“We have something for everyone this year.”
Mr Gidding’s message to festivalgoers was: “Bring sunscreen, hydrate yourself, drink water, wear a hat, and also wear layers because it will get cold later.”
