Saturday (June 17) at Isle of Wight Festival 2023 looks likely to be cooling down in temperature, but the list of headline performers will certainly get Festival-goers hotting up.
With the likes of George Ezra, The Chemical Brothers, N-Dubz, Anne-Marie, Sam Ryder, Example, and FLO to look forward to, here’s a look at what else is coming on Saturday.
Fresh from their Big Top performance today (Friday), Aussie pop band Germein, previously known as the Germein Sisters due to the sibling members, will open the Main Stage at 11.50am.
You can also catch them tomorrow at 5.30pm at the River Stage.
Following them onto the Main Stage, at 12.35pm, is 2022 formed, all-girl indie trio GIRLBAND.
From 1.35pm, the immensely successful Scouting for Girls will blast out ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘This Ain’t a Love Song’ and ‘Heartbeat’, last performed in the Big Top at the Isle of Wight Festival 2021.
The band has sold over two million albums and singles, had four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination, four top ten singles and sold-out Wembley Arena, The Royal Albert Hall and The London Palladium.
90s soul songstress and Brit Award winner Gabrielle performs Main Stage at 2.50pm, with hits ‘Dreams’ and ‘Out Of Reach’ sure to get the Festival-goers belting out classic tunes.
Sam Ryder, who has seen his popularity go stratospheric since his second-place finish at Eurovision in 2022 with his song ‘SPACE MAN’, is sure to become a Festival favourite when he hits the Main Stage at 4pm.
He rose to prominence posting covers on TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic and became the most-followed UK artist on the platform by the end of 2020.
After entertaining Festival-goers in 2019, the three-time world karate champion and West End child star turned multi-platinum-selling artist Anne-Marie returns to the Main Stage at 5.15pm.
With over a billion Spotify streams for ‘FRIENDS’ and ‘2002’, Anne-Marie has become one of the world’s most-loved and successful pop stars of our times following her meteoric rise to stardom.
Dappy, Fazer and Tulisa announced the return of N-Dubz last year and will perform from 6.30pm.
They have reached top spot in the Official UK charts once, with their feature on Tinchy Stryder’s 2009 hit ‘Number 1’ and have charted in the top 40 13 times.
Also returning to the Festival after his 2019 headline appearance, George Ezra will bring his hits ‘Budapest’, ‘Shotgun’, ‘Hold My Girl’ and ‘Green Green Grass’ to Main Stage from 8.15pm.
Saturday night headliners The Chemical Brothers follow, at 10.20pm, are the best live dance act in the world right now, according to NME.
The band's huge catalogue of anthems - including tracks like ‘Galvanize’, 'Block Rockin' Beats', ‘Got To Keep On’ and ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’ has won the band multiple Grammy and Brit Awards and over 13 million album sales worldwide, including five UK number ones.
What's on at Isle of Wight Festival 2023 Big Top on Saturday, June 17?
The Hot Vox Competition winner Wallis, aka Wallis McDowall, will take to the Big Top stage from 12.30pm.
Having started her music career in 2020, her debut single ‘Never Gonna Be’ was featured on Spotify’s popular releases before being picked for national airplay on BBC Radio 1.
At 1.35pm, Liverpool four-piece The Kairos, and taking over at 2.40pm is the exciting new Edinburgh-born vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Brooke Combe.
One of the most-hyped bands in London, The Last Dinner Party bring their alternative/indie sounds to the Festival’s Big Top at 3.50pm.
Festival boss John Giddings listed the band in his top five ‘things to see’ at Seaclose Park this year.
CMAT arrives from 5pm, combining humour with pop culture and a country mashup to create a unique sound, followed by Scottish singer-songwriter Joesef at 6.15pm and indie-rock outfit The Reytons at 7.45pm.
Known for their three-part harmonies and contemporary take on R'n'B, and also one of John Gidding’s top picks, FLO arrive at 9.40pm.
Giddings said: "Having worked with the Spice Girls and Little Mix, I can see the same potential in this band.”
Crossover dance music icon Example returns to the Festival following his 2020 appearance and brings Saturday night to an end from 11.30pm.
