A woman and a boy onboard an inflatable were blown out to sea off the Isle of Wight this afternoon (Saturday).
The incident has prompted a warning over inflatables from HM Coastguard.
Ventnor Coastguard teams responded to Shanklin earlier today.
Teams were called to reports of a blow-up boat drifting offshore.
The inflatable had a woman and teenage boy onboard.
It was being blown towards Luccombe, HM Coastguard said.
Coastguard crews responded, but the two people managed to make their own way to shore.
Coastguard is warning Islanders not to take inflatable boats and toys in the sea.
They said they can easily be blown out to sea, especially in offshore winds.
