WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

SHANKLIN-GODSHILL: Victoria Avenue and Godshill Road, Shanklin, Whiteley Bank, Shanklin Road and Newport Road, Shanklin, will be shut for lining works, between 7.30pm and 6am today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday).

NITON: Rectory Road will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Wednesday until 4pm on Tuesday, May 23.

NEWPORT: Carisbrooke Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Wellington Road and Recreation Ground Road, from 8am tomorrow (Wednesday) until 5pm on Friday, May 12.

SEAVIEW: Salterns Road will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, between 8am today (Tuesday) until 6pm on Friday, May 12.

HAVENSTREET: Havenstreet Main Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Combley Road and Firestone Copse Road, from 8am today (Tuesday) until 4pm on Tuesday, June 6.

SHANKLIN: Landguard Manor Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Green Lane and Atherley Park Way, from 6.30pm today (Tuesday) until 6.30am on Thursday.

NEWPORT: Betty Haunt Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, from 8am until 4pm daily, today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday).

CALBOURNE: Lynch Lane will be shut for lining works, between its junctions with Winkle Street and Strawberry Lane, between 12.30pm and 3.30pm, or between 7.30pm and 11pm, between tomorrow (Wednesday) and Friday, May 12.

WOOTTON: Firestone Copse Road will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, between tomorrow (Wednesday) and Friday, May 12.

GODSHILL: Bobberstone Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, between tomorrow (Wednesday) and Friday, May 12. 

BRADING: West Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily, from Wednesday until Friday, May 12.
