Expect traffic disruption on busy Isle of Wight route over two days

EXPECT disruption to traffic on one of the busiest routes on the Isle of Wight this coming week.

The main route between Shanklin and Godshill, via Whiteley Bank, will be subject to lining works on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The works, being undertaken between 7.30pm and 6am on both days, will affect Victoria Avenue, Shanklin, between its junctions with Windsor Drive and Godshill Road; and their entire length, Godshill Road, Shanklin; Whiteley Bank; and Shanklin Road and Newport Road, Godshill.

Island Roads will signpost alternative routes locally.

Also in Shanklin, Languard Manor Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Green Lane and Atherley Park Way, from 6am on Tuesday, until 6.30am on Thursday.
In Godshill, Bobberstone Lane will shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, from wednesday until Friday.
