The Isle of Wight is preparing to mark the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, on May 6.
Picnics, music and public screenings of the historic event are all planned.
Bunting is already appearing in towns and villages across the Island.

Travel
Southern Vectis is planning to operate a normal service on Saturday, May 6. On Sunday, May 7 and Monday, May 8, a Sunday service will be in operation.
Arreton
The bells of St George’s Arreton will ring from 4pm.
Bembridge
There will be a village fete at The Cloisters, on Monday, May 8, from 2pm until 5pm.
Expect bric a brac, buried treasure, a bouncy castle, and more.
Bonchurch
A Grand Coronation Picnic will take place on the Village Green, from midday until 4pm, on Sunday May 7. There will be live music.
East Cowes
A bejewelled display at Age UK in East Cowes.
On Saturday, May 6, English Heritage's Osborne is screening the events, from 9:30am.
From 10am, on Saturday May 6, the Coronation will be screened in East Cowes Town Hall from 10am.
On Sunday, May 7, at Jubilee Recreation Ground, there will a screening of the concert and a picnic from 12pm, along with music, events, a dog show and more.
Church events
On May 6, at 11am, listen out for church bells, as part of the national Ring for the King celebration. Are you doing this on the Isle of Wight? Email editor@iwcp.co.uk and let us know.
On May 7, a service will be held at Portsmouth Cathedral, at 5:45pm, featuring choirs, including singers from All Saints in Ryde. Meanwhile, Bishop Jonathan will attend the Isle of Wight's Civic Coronation Service at St Mary’s Church, Cowes, from 6pm on May 7, joined by the Lord Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight and worshippers.
Havenstreet
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway will be decorated for the occasion and it will have a big screen showing the action at Westminster Abbey.
There is free entry and train ticket for residents of Havenstreet village.
The attraction is also offering free tickets to anyone called Charles, Charlie or Charley (or similar), or Camilla. Don't forget to bring proof of your address/name.
Libraries
Newchurch
The bells of All Saints, Newport will be rung from 3pm.
A Big Coronation Lunch will be held on Sunday at 12.30pm at the Sports Field and Pavilion, Watery Lane.
Newchurch Parish Council is funding a basic buffet, and participants are encouraged to ‘bring and share’.
Newport
St James's Square in Newport will host a free Coronation celebration of music performances by Platform One students, between 12pm and 6pm.
Ryde
Aspire is holding a King's Tea on Saturday, May 6, served with a live screening of the Coronation at the converted church on Dover Street, Ryde. From 11am, there will be music, stalls, tombola and raffle of a beautiful Royal Hamper. Afternoon tea is £3 but it is free to watch the event. 'Queen Victoria' will also attend, accompanied by ghillie, John Brown.
The bells of All Saints church in Ryde will ring out from 9am on Saturday, May 6. Ringers from Ryde will join others from across the Island and visiting ringers and the bells will be heard for up to an hour.
Seaview
Flowers at St Peter's Church, Seaview.
On April 29, the annual St. Peter's church flower festival used the coronation as its theme. Arrangements were inspired by The Crown Jewels.
Shanklin
Rylstone Gardens will play host to 'Party in the Park' in celebration of the coronation of King Charles III.
The event will be opened by the Island's Pearly king and queen, before a dancing show presented by Dance Vibez.
Shanklin Town Brass Band will feature, alongside local celebrity singer Derek Sandy and live music from Island bands.
There's something for everyone, with a children's marquee with face painting, taster dance lessons, entertainment sessions with David Randini, hula hoop and limbo fun and prizes, as well as a tug-of-war.
Everyone is invited, from 11am to 7pm, on May 7.
Shorwell
There are two Coronation bell ringings :
Saturday, May 6, from 9am.
Monday, May 8, from about 11.15am.
Ventnor
Look closely, at Rutherford Eye Care, in Ventnor.
Ventnor Park will host a picnic (bring your own, and don't forget the chairs) on May 8, from midday until 4pm.
Hosted by Ventnor Carnival, there will be music and entertainment across the afternoon, as well as a vintage ice cream van and somewhere to buy cake.
The Bandstand will host a variety of acts, from midday and at 3.20pm, there will be a children's fancy dress party.
Ventnor British Legion will have an open house, with the event being shown on all screens followed by a BBQ. On Saturday, at 2.30pm, The Ventnor Darlings will entertain, while, from 8pm, Duzz will be perform. On Sunday, there will be a 'Right Royal Quiche Off,' from midday and Watevva will play live music from 4pm.

Whitwell
The Carnival Committee is hosting events across the weekend, in Whitwell.
On Saturday, May 6, the Coronation will be show at the White Horse Inn and there will be a procession of Kings and Queens. A Jubilee plaque will be unveiled and 'The King' himself will perform - aka The Elvis Legacy Mark Summers.
On Sunday, May 7, there will be a craft fair and music.
On Monday, May 8, from 1pm, there will be a dog show, with music in the evening.
