Staff from Isle of Wight school, St George's, in Newport are walking 27 miles to raise money for a minibus today (Saturday).
The school supports secondary students with a range of complex additional needs.
A new minibus would mean all students would be able to use experiences learning outside the classroom.
Today's route will consist of hills, muddy puddles and flapjacks.
The team said: "This is going to be a huge challenge for some of us.
"Any amount you can donate would be hugely appreciated by our wonderful students."
