WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

BEMBRIDGE: Steyne Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Oakside Gardens and Preston Road, from 8am on Monday until 5pm on Wednesday.
The High Street will also be shut for utility works, on both sides, along its entire length, during the same period.

VENTNOR: The Esplanade will be shut, to allow works adjacent to the retaining wall at the back of the Spyglass Inn, between its junctions with La Falaise car park and Alma Road, from 12am on Sunday, until 12am on Friday, May 12.

NEWPORT: Holyrood Street will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Crocker Street and Lugley Street, between 7.30pm and 11pm daily, from Tuesday until Thursday.

HAVENSTREET: Littletown Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

COWES: Crossfield Avenue will be shut for carriageway repairs works, between its junctions with Mountbatten Avenue and Ward Avenue, between 9.30am and 2.30pm daily, from Wednesday until Friday, May 5.

RYDE: Rink Road will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 9.30am and 2.30pm daily, from Wednesday until Friday, May 5.

BRADING: Green Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, from Wednesday until Friday.

SHALFLEET: Church Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, Tuesday to Thursday.

LAKE: Longwood Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 9.30am and 2.30pm daily, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
