Steps leading to a popular Isle of Wight beach at The Needles are reopen once again.
Isle of Wight Council repairs have been carried out, following safety fears.
Due to erosion, one set of steps and a landing near the beach had dropped and there wasn't sufficient support underneath.
When they were shut last month, the only route to the beach was via a pay-to-use chairlift.
At the time, the council said: "It is regrettable the steps to Alum Bay have been closed but the safety of the public has to be our priority."
Great news. The Council beach steps have now been repaired and officially open. Thank you to the IOW Council/Public Rights of Way. So now you can visit the beach by chairlift or steps 😀@VisitIOW @TotallyIOW @IOWNews @islandecho @SHAA_IOW @the_clifton_iow @iwcponline pic.twitter.com/VE1iIHqJsg

The closure led to the owner of the Needles Pleasure Cruises fearing the cost implications to his business.
As of today (Thursday), the steps have been repaired and are officially open.
It means those visiting can now access the beach via the steps or the chairlift.
