A BUILDER caught with a small amount of cannabis during a police raid on his Isle of Wight home, was hit in the pocket by magistrates.
Luke Rose admitted possessing cannabis on January 8 last year, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court.
Liz Miller, prosecuting, said police raided Rose's home in Reed Street, Ryde, and, during an investigation into other matters, they discovered 5g of cannabis, which was described to the bench as being "consistent with personal use".
For Rose, Oscar Vincent said his client had been 'lightly' convicted in the past, but not for drugs-related matters, and had not reoffended in the 15 months that followed the drugs find.
The bench fined the 33-year-old £133, with £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.
