Whippingham Road has reopened tonight (Friday) following a closure due to a car crash.
At least three cars suffered damage in a crash at rush hour earlier today.
Police closed the road from East Cowes Road to Alverstone Road, but it reopened at around 7.30pm.
Eye-witnesses at the scene said a driver had fled, after one car crashed into a hedge and at least two others are badly damaged.
