LAST month, representatives from across the Isle of Wight community visited Wroxall Primary Schools to talk to children about their different jobs on 'Big Me' day.
Students came to school dressed as their future selves and enjoyed talking to visitors as part of the careers fair event within school.
The afternoon was designed to raise children’s aspirations about what they might do when they leave school, and in particular the skills and qualities they will need to continue to grow and develop to become their future selves.
Groups that came into the school to engage with the students included GKN, IW College, RNLI, Wight Search and Rescue, AJ Entertainment, Quay Arts, New Carnival Company, Hampshire and IW Police, Tapnell Farm, Stainless Games, Whatever Next Entertainment and Island Vet Care.
A spokesperson from Wroxall Primary said: “We all thoroughly enjoyed the event, which promoted great discussions and sparked interest in a range of careers. We will look forward to repeating it again next year.”
