Cross-Solent travel continues to face disruption this evening (Wednesday) as high winds batter the Isle of Wight.
- UPDATE: Red Jet services will return to timetable at 8.50pm from Southampton and 9.25pm from Cowes.
The Red Jet between Cowes and Southampton has been cancelled for a second time today.
Red Funnel said its passenger service has been suspended 'until further notice'.
The service had returned to timetable at 4.45pm from Southampton and 5.20pm from Cowes after being cancelled shortly before 3.30pm this afternoon.

The County Press previously reported that the vehicle ferry between East Cowes and Southampton was facing potential delays and cancellations, but the service has since returned to timetable.
Hovertravel services will remain suspended until the end of today, with an update expected early tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, all Wightlink services remain on timetable.
