A FIRE which broke out at a hotel in Sandown this afternoon (Monday) is being treated as arson, police have confirmed.
Multiple emergency service teams, including two fire crews from Sandown and Shanklin, were called to the scene at the junction of Broadway and Winchester Park Road.
They were responding to reports of a shed 'well alight' at the rear of the Parkbury Hotel.
The fire went on to spread to a nearby fence before being brought under control by the attending crews.

Police were alerted at approximately 1.39pm.
"This is being treated as arson and enquiries are ongoing," said a spokesperson for the force.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44230140699."
