WIGHTLINK'S Fishbourne to Portsmouth route is delayed today (Saturday) after a ferry breakdown.

Due to a mechanical issue, the ship has been pulled from service.

Wightlink says it is switching the service to another ferry but customers could be delayed for up to an hour.

A spokesperson said: "If you are booked with us please check in for your original booked sailing time as we endeavor to reduce the delay."
