RYDE Esplanade’s Eastern Gardens will once again play host to Jack Up Events’ free-to-attend Ticket to Ryde as it returns for its ninth year across the Bank Holiday weekends through Spring and Summer.
Live music, provided by some of the Island’s best bands and artists, will kick off from lunchtime on Friday, April 7, with the event running until 8pm each evening. Trade stalls open from 10am each morning.
This year's acts will include Now Only, Bethan John, Momentary High, Emelia, The Pact, High School Never Ends, Soul Queen, Steve Love’s Island Songs, Izzy Russell and many more.
The event enables Islanders to engage with culture on their doorstep whilst supporting local charities and traders – Jack Up’s Charity of the Year for 2023 is the MS Society IOW.
There will be a real ale bar, courtesy of Island Ales, hot food freshly cooked by Island caterers, as well as homemade treats and artisanal coffees and speciality teas.
The event boasts a range of traditional market stalls, hand-drawn caricatures, tarot card reading and henna tattoos, with a range of activities to keep children entertained.
Sarah Moss, organiser, said: “Ticket to Ryde has a great reputation for being a feel-good event with a lovely atmosphere and laid-back family-friendly vibe.
“Come and celebrate the start of the new season and chill out along the seafront with us.”
