AN ISLE of Wight man will stand trial later this year, accused of attacking his former neighbour and directing a racial slur at him.
Mark Bance, of Barton Road, Newport, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, March 28.
The 48-year-old is charged with common assault and racially aggravated assault by beating, in Newport, on December 13.
He is accused of punching and grappling with his former neighbour.
Mr Bance saw his case adjourned for a trial on July 6 at the same venue.
He was granted unconditional bail until that date.
