There is disruption on the Isle of Wight's cross-Solent operators this morning (Wednesday).

Hovertravel services remain suspended due to adverse weather.

The company is providing hourly updates.

Meanwhile, Red Funnel's Red service has now resumed service.

An issue with Red Jet 6's generator had meant there were cancellations.

The 6.40am from Southampton and 7.15am from Cowes did not run.

A flood alert is in force for the Island's coast, as the County Press reported.

Islanders have been advised to avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.
