The brutal murder of a former Isle of Wight woman, by her jealous husband, features in a popular Netflix documentary.
Meet, Marry, Murder tells the story of Heather Arthur, originally from Ryde, who was stabbed to death by Mark Arthur in Newcastle, in 2013.
The County Press reported at the time how Mrs Arthur, formerly Naylor, was killed after telling her husband she was leaving him for another man.
Mark Arthur, then 50, stabbed the mother-of-two in the heart after she returned from the school run.
He was sentenced to life with a recommendation he must serve at least 18 years.
Mrs Arthur's tragic story is told in Episode 11 of the Netflix series.
The episode synopsis reads: "Mark Arthur's constant threats of self-harm kept his wife, Heather, under his control.
"When she leaves him for another man, he turns homicidal".
