RESIDENTS at an Isle of Wight care home enjoyed a trip to Arreton Barns last week, basking in winter sunshine while exploring the popular attraction.
As they explored the various shops and stalls, the residents at Newport’s Orchard House took in the sights and sounds of the bustling market.
They were particularly excited by the opportunity to browse the artisanal goods on offer, from handmade pottery and jewellery to Island-sourced food and drink.
The trip was organised by the care home’s staff, who were pleased to see the residents enjoying themselves in the fresh air and sunshine.
Kim Fleming, general manager at Barchester’s Orchard House, said: “It was wonderful to see the smile on the residents’ faces as they explored Arreton Barns.
“We know how important it is for our residents to get out and about, and we’re delighted to have been able to organise this trip for them.”
The day out was a great success, and the residents are already looking forward to their next adventure, the Home said.
