Local forecaster Jamie Russell, of the IW Met Service, has said "a few places" may experience snowfall, while others will get sleet and rain.
It backs up what is being said by national forecaster, the Met Office, which has extended its yellow warning to include the Island.

It's in place from midnight tonight until 9am on Thursday, as the County Press reported.
The IW Met Service has revealed several locations could have snow, including Newport, Wootton, Yarmouth and Brighstone.
It looks as though it won't fall in Ryde, Shanklin, Sandown and Niton, to name a few.
The IW Met Service said: "An area of heavy rain will push across the Island overnight, turning to sleet and perhaps even snow in a few places.
"The current situation is exceptionally borderline, meaning that the transition of rain to snow will be affected by how heavy the precipitation (rain, sleet, snow) is falling.
"Heavier spells will lead to an increased risk of snow, whereas lighter spells will likely fall as rain or sleet."
"Another factor is temperature, with windward coasts likely to see more in the way of rain or perhaps sleet, but further inland and away from windward coasts the likelihood of falling snow increases."
