A power cut has temporarily closed The Old Smithy in Godshill.

A sign on the front of the building says it hopes to reopen later today.

An outage is affecting around 221 SSEN customers in and around the village.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has said 12 postcodes in the PO38 are affected.

These include:

  • PO38 3DR
  • PO38 3EX
  • PO38 3HH
  • PO38 3HN
  • PO38 3HT
  • PO38 3HW
  • PO38 3HY
  • PO38 3HZ
  • PO38 3JG
  • PO38 3JL
  • PO38 3LJ
  • PO38 3LL

Power was reported to have been lost at 8.42am.

SSEN has said it hopes to have it restored by 1pm.
