The Bay CE secondary school in Sandown will join a number of other Isle of Wight schools in closing to most pupils, when NEU teaching members strike tomorrow (Thursday).
The site, on the Fairway, will remain open to Year 11 students, and those with an education, health and care (EHC) plan, and specified vulnerable students.
The same will apply on Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 16, if action goes ahead as planned.
In a letter to parents, Emma Bowden said: "I’m sorry that you will have to make alternative arrangements for your child at short notice, and that they will experience disruption to their education.

"I understand that this situation may be frustrating, and ask that all members of our school community continue to treat each other with respect.
"We are working closely with our staff union representatives to keep up to date with the situation, and I will inform you as soon as possible if arrangements change further."
Where possible tasks are being set for students not attending, through Google Classroom or Go4Schools.
Parents are being told to be prepared for work not being set, however.
The strikes, which have been condemned by the government, are being held over teacher pay and better funding for schools.
A number of schools will be affected by the strikes, as they were at the beginning of February.
