Firefighters from East Cowes were called to a van fire on York Avenue this evening (Friday), just before 8pm.
They said it was out when they got there, but an attempt had been made to set light to a tyre.
The scene was handed over to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
It is almost a month since a motorhome and an Island Distribution van were destroyed within minutes of each other, on Victoria Grove and Kent Avenue.
