An Isle of Wight pianist is on Channel Four show, The Piano, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and featuring Mika and Lang Lang.

Claudia is searching for the UK's best amateur piano performers.

Up-for-grabs is a chance to play at the Royal Festival Hall, on London's South Bank.

The first show in the series has aired tonight (Wednesday).

How can I watch Channel Four's The Piano, hosted by Claudia Winkleman?

Isle of Wight County Press:

It saw musicians perform at London's St Pancras station.

Over five parts, there will be performances on public pianos in Leeds, Glasgow and Birmingham, too.

From nonagenarians who have been playing for eighty years, to twelve-year-olds who have never played in pubic before there are heartfelt, emotional and uplifting performances take place, says Channel Four.

The piano performers don’t know they are being watched by Lang Lang, widely regarded as the greatest classical pianist of the modern era, and platinum selling pop superstar Mika.

Among those appearing on The Piano is multi-talented Islander Jay Eatwell.

The Platform One alumni describes himself as a singer, songwriter, artist and rapper and he plays both piano and guitar.

His former college was sending a message of good luck, tonight.

Meanwhile, Mika will be appearing on the Main Stage on Isle of Wight Festival Sunday (June 18).
