RED JET 4 returned to service this morning (Tuesday, February 14) but was immediately removed with a technical issue before the first scheduled crossing of the day.
Yesterday evening, Red Funnel announced that due to the hard work of its engineers, Red Jet 4 would return today and operate to normal timetables.
At 5.50am today, Red Jet 4 was pulled from service due to a technical error with its Port reversing bucket - the first sailing of the day was 6.05am.
A spokesperson for the cross-Solent travel provider has confirmed that the vessel has suffered an error with its Port reversing bucket.
As a result, the 8.25am sailing from Southampton, and the 7.50am and 9am crossings from Cowes have been cancelled.
Red Funnel has also advised that due to dense fog in the Solent, Red Jet 7 is running with a delay of 15-20 minutes, affecting the 7.50am and 9am from Southampton and 8.25am and 9.35am from Cowes.
