AN ISLE of Wight man accused of declining to undergo a police roadside breathalyser test, is to stand trial after telling magistrates he had no case to answer.
Brian Bailey faced charges of failing to provide a drink-drive specimen and driving without insurance, on Monkton Street, Ryde, on January 15, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Friday (10).
When asked to offer pleas to the charges, he replied: "I have no case to answer" on both.
The 45 year old, of Monkton Street, Ryde, was bailed to reappear for trial at the same venue on May 10.
