The owner of a Shanklin takeaway, whose hometown in Turkey has been destroyed by a deadly earthquake, is among the Islanders doing their bit to help aid efforts.
Adem Kaya, who owns Turkish Grill Yummy Tummy in Regent Street, has family in Gaziantep, which is one of the areas worst affected by the 7.8 magnitude quake.
Videos posted online show residents from the city running for their lives as buildings come tumbling down.
Adem told the Isle of Wight County Press how his family home has been destroyed, and his relatives have been forced to live in a car.
Adem and Sertan
They fled at 4am on Monday morning, when they first felt tremors, and everyone ran with no coats or shoes on.

The death toll, which is in now in the thousands, is continuing to rise across Tukey and Syria, and hundreds of people are still missing.
Adem, who only visited Gaziantep three to four months ago, said even if he wanted to back now, he wouldn't be able to. All the roads have been destroyed, he said, and the only way in is by helicopter.
Although he said he knows medical supplies and clothes are what's needed at the moment, he is collecting cash donations for when it comes to the rebuild.
A collection bucket can be found on the counter at Yummy Tummy on Regent Street.
