Another 250 Isle of Wight men will be able to get checked for prostate cancer, thanks to money raised from the Long Lane Christmas lights display.
For the 23rd year, Terry and Sue Ramplin lit up their home in the run to the festive season.
People were invited along to enjoy the spectacle and donate to the couple's chosen charity, which like last year, was the Isle of Wight Prostate Cancer Support Group (IWPCSG).
At a cheque presentation yesterday (Monday) it was revealed an impressive £4,879 had been raised for the group.
IWPCSG helps Island men who have been diagnosed with the illness and also arranges PSA testing events for those over the age of 40.
Geoff Waddington, from the charity, said the donation will go a long way.
He said: "Each event costs up about three and a half to four thousand pounds. This is well going to cover one event and Terry wants us to cover the Newport event which is what we'll do.
"There's so many men dying with it so they need to get tested. 15 minutes of your time to save your life."
Geoff estimates that around 250 to 270 men can get tested at each event.
Terry said it's "lovely to see" what the money will do for people over the coming year.
"It takes me and the wife literally three months to put it all together, to put it up and take it down", he told the County Press.
"Hopefully it'll help to save a lot of lives on behalf of the prostate cancer support group.
"Without that money last year they said that particular event wouldn't have gone ahead.
"On that day it did help to save around 30 lives when the results came back."
Over the last two decades Terry and Sue have raised tens of thousands of pounds for various charities.
Terry is hoping, health depending, his lights will make a return again this year.
