A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash in Newport this morning (Wednesday).
At 7.30am, police were called to the scene on Riverway, responding to a report that a vehicle had collided with a lamp post.
No injuries have been reported but police enquiries are ongoing.
A 55-year-old man from Newport has since been arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit.
He remains in police custody at this time.
The car was wedged between a lamp post and an exterior wall, but has since been recovered by Bartletts Service Station.
