EAST Cowes-based charity MAD-Aid has added some new faces to its team.
MAD-Aid in the UK was founded in 2012 and steered by the dedicated energy of Victoria Dunford with her team of volunteers.
Victoria’s tasks included everything from managing the organisation, fundraising, organising events, managing the programmes, loading and unloading tonnes of aid, setting up the programmes in Moldova, including building the Phoenix Complex step-by-step, and managing the staff there.
Victoria remains the charity CEO and programme manager, while long-serving trustee Mihaela Pavlenco is now managing director responsible for staff, accounts and UK programmes.
Long-standing volunteer Francisca de Zwager is currently on board as the charity’s marketing and communication specialist.
At the beginning of January, they were joined by Kate Couch, Helen Monroe McNeill and Paul Revert.
Kate, known by many as former County Press journalist Kate Young, has been a MAD-Aid volunteer since May 2022. She is now utilising her writing skills as grant manager for the charity.
Helen is an experienced community fundraiser and an excellent event organiser, while Paul is the new office administrator and is also known for his creative writing skills.
