The owners of a family-run hotel that was damaged by fire are thanking Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue and fellow hoteliers for their support.
The Newport Quay Hotel had to be evacuated on Wednesday morning, when a blaze broke out in its kitchen.
Some guests were later relocated and the hotel is currently closed.
Its owners, who have run it since 2016, have told the Isle of Wight County Press they plan to reopen as soon as possible and they have thanked those who supported them on the day.

As soon as the necessary repairs are completed, the hotel will reopen, its owners say.
Isle of Wight firefighters from Newport, Cowes, Ryde and East Cowes were called to the three-storey building on Quay Street at about 4.30am on January 18.
