BRED in captivity then found in a terrible state, two tigers have been rescued and will find their forever home on the Isle of Wight.

Softi and Toph are moving to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in early February.

A sanctuary spokesperson said the two female tigers have had "incredibly tragic lives thus far".

In October, 2019, they were found in small crates in the back of a horsebox.

The sanctuary said they were starving, dehydrated, and covered in excrement, and  bound for Russia.

They were confiscated at the Belarussian border and have been cared for since at a Sanctuary in Spain, run by AAP.

The tigers are six years old.

The spokesperson said: "We will be welcoming these two amazing animals, who have endured so much, into our home and into our hearts, to continue their rehabilitation and to live out their lives in peace."
