Land has fallen away along the Isle of Wight coastal path, between Luccombe and Bonchurch.
It was spotted by regular users of the path when they returned to mark the start of 2023.
Access to a house on the Island's south coast has been impacted and large cracks have appeared in the road surface.

The Isle of Wight County Press has been told the movement has happened within the last six weeks, with a suggestion it was on Sunday.
Dramatic photos, by Islander Graham Gardner, who walks and runs the route, show a drop of more than a foot.
It follows significant amounts of rain over the last month.
Meanwhile, the Isle of Wight County Press has also been told about a suspected collapse of land at Atherfield over Christmas.
