RED FUNNEL’S foot passenger service will be running a one-boat service tomorrow (Tuesday, December 20) due to a crew shortage.
The Red Jet service between Cowes and Southampton is expected to face major disruption.
The 6.05am, 7.15am, 8.25am, 3.35pm, 4.45pm and 5.55pm sailings from Southampton have already been cancelled.
So, too have the 6.40am, 7.50am, 9am, 4.10pm, 5.20pm and 6.30pm crossings from Cowes.
A spokesperson from cross-Solent operator said: “Legally, we must ensure a certain number of trained staff on every sailing to ensure the safety of passengers. We apologise for any disruption to your journey.”
Good news, however, for returning Island-based Southampton FC fans ahead of the Saints’ Carabao EFL Cup Round of 16 game against Lincoln City, as sailings have been revised.
We’ve made a slight revision to our Red Jet timetable for tomorrow night (20 Dec) to accommodate football fans travelling home from the Southampton FC match.
