WORK to improve St Mary’s Hospital begins today (Monday), meaning several changes come into effect for patients, visitors and staff.
Hoarding has been installed around the main entrance as work begins on the Newport hospital's new emergency care floor.
Patients, visitors and staff should be able to access the main entrance and emergency department as normal.
The current drop off point has been relocated to the main car park, including the taxi space and six disabled car bays.
From next week there will be further changes across St Mary’s Hospital sites so the next phase of work can begin on our new emergency care floor.

The motorcycle park has also been relocated to opposite the podiatry department.
The pedestrian crossing near the main entrance has been moved and an additional crossing should be in place near the ambulance emergency drop-off point.
The foot path at the front of the hospital should also be diverted.
