When are Isle of Wight leisure centres open this Christmas and New Year?

The Heights and Medina Leisure Centres:

December 19-23: 6am to 9pm

Christmas Eve: 8am to 2pm

Christmas Day and Boxing Day: Closed

December 27-30: 6am to 6.30pm

New Year's Eve: 8am to 2pm

New Year's Day: Closed

January 2: 6am to 6.30pm

January 3: 6am to 9pm

Westridge

December 19-23: 6am to 9pm

Christmas Eve to Boxing Day: Closed

December 27-30: 6am to 6.30pm

New Year's Eve and New Year's Day: Closed

January 2: 6am to 6.30pm

January 3: 6am to 9pm

The theatre will be open for the following performances of Jack and the Beanstalk.

December 20-23: Show starts 2pm

Chrsitmas Eve: Shows start 10.30am and 2pm

Christmas Day: Closed

Boxing Day: Show starts 2pm

Decembe 27: Family show starts 2pm and Adult-only show at 7pm

December 28-30: Show starts 2pm

New Year’s Day: Closed

When are Isle of Wight libraries open this Christmas and New Year?

Libraries in Cowes, Freshwater, Newport, Ryde, Sandown and Ventnor close at 12.30pm on Christmas Eve and reopen at 10am on Tuesday, January 3.

Museums

Dinosaur Isle Museum

Dinosaur Isle Museum will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and December 27.

It will also be closed between on January 1 and 2, reopening on January 3.

On all other days it will open from 10am until 4pm, with last admission at 3pm.

Cowes Maritime Museum

Closes at 12.30pm on Christmas Eve and reopens at 10am on Tuesday, January 3.

Museum of Island History

Closed until Tuesday, January 17, at 10am.

Newport Roman Villa

Closed for winter.
