It has become part of the staple diet of an Isle of Wight Christmas...the battered festive fare from Corries Cabin chip shop in Cowes.
As well as the now classic battered sprouts, this year the well-loved chippy has added some other crispy treats.
Battered pigs in blankets, foot long pigs in blankets, stuffing balls and mince pies are to be found in the warming cabinet alongside the sprouts.
Cowes chip shop Corries cabin has managed to add some more festive treats to its menu this year.
Ben Butler, supervisor of the shop, said: "We get asked for them all year round.
“It is a really fun time of year, people start asking when we are starting the Christmas menu in October."
Tammy Pierce, fellow worker, said: “Even without the pandemic, its been another tough year for everyone, so we are happy to add a little bit of seasonal joy with the return our Christmas menu."
The shop has continued to “match” donations to the Isle of Wight Foodbank that have been raised in the restaurant.
Over £1,200 has been given to the Isle of Wight Foodbank again this year, with any customer donations on top.
