CHRISTMAS elves will be sprinkling magic on Scarrots Lane in Newport tomorrow (Saturday) and creating a free event for all the family.
The lane, in the centre of the town, will be closed to traffic and filled with live music, entertainment, cosplayers, hot food outlets and an appearance by Santa Claus himself, and his wife, Mrs Claus.
There will be an art exhibition by five of the Island's leading artists, located above Computer Plus.
A craft market will feature stalls selling a wide range of items, and all the shops will be open.
There will be hog roasts, wood fire pizza, and speciality cupcakes.
The snow queen and her Siberian huskies are bound to be a major draw.

In the afternoon, Newport Carnival is holding a Christmas parade in the town.
The procession will set off from Church Litten at 5pm.
