Ventnor Theatre Group is excited to be teaming up with South Wight Youth Theatre to bring to the stage a modern twist on the classic Christmas story.
A high energy version of Rock Nativity is being performed at Shanklin Theatre on December 7 and 8.
Producer and choreographer Bobby Oddy said: "There are Christmas carols for all to sing along to and put you in that Christmas mood.
"Rock Nativity is a fun loving show for all the family and the cast can't wait to share it with you."
Expect the traditional nativity story with a modern take and a rock and roll twist.
The cast includes Willow Samuel as Mary, Simon Apsey as Joseph, Ben Glanville as King Herod and Ellie Rutherford as the Angel Gabriel.
Mike Grist is the musical director and there's a three-piece band. Claire Apsey is the director.
Ventnor Theatre Group have been rehearsing in Shanklin Theatre's new performance centre at the former Shanklin Library, and say they are excited to be back on the Shanklin Theatre stage after a number of years away.
Tickets are available from Shanklin Theatre.
