Horrible Histories star Simon Farnaby and former CBeebies presenter Cerrie Burnell will headline the 2023 Isle of Wight Story Festival, in February.

You'll know Simon from Ghosts, Yonderland, The Mighty Boosh, This Time with Alan Partridge and Horrible Histories - in which he played Death.

The BAFTA-nominated Paddington 2 writer also recently appeared alongside everyone’s favourite marmalade-loving bear and The Queen, in an opening skit for the Platinum Jubilee concert.

On Saturday, February 18 he will speak about his book, The Wizard in My Shed.

After presenting CBeebies for eight years, Cerrie Burnell has turned to writing children's books and she will answer questions on Wilder Than Midnight.

Also appearing on the Saturday, Cerrie is the author of Harper and the Scarlet Umbrella and Harper and the Night Forest.

The pair will join Kieran Larwood, Laura Ellen Anderson, Nicholas Allan, Julia Tuffs and Jamie Littler at the event.

Thursday at the Story Festival will mean the chance to play Dungeons and Dragons.

Plus, there will be performances of the Apollo Youth Theatre’s 'hard-hitting' production of His Name is Zak and Horse Box Theatre’s The Lighthouse Keeper.

Local musicians Amy Jolliffe and JC Grimshaw will entertain in the Quay Arts cafe.
