AFTER narrowly missing out on a prestigious Mercury Music Prize, Isle of Wight band Wet Leg have been nominated for five Grammy Awards.
The Islanders are also scheduled to appear on the Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday, live on ITV between 10.10pm and 11.15pm.
The Island outfit has been nominated in the categories for best new artist, best alternative music album, best remixed recording, best engineered album, non-classical, and best alternative music performance.
The latter is a newly introduced category for 2023.

Other major artists nominated for awards include Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and Adele.
Both Adele's single Easy On Me and Beyonce's Break My Soul are up for song and record of the year.
Harry Styles and Coldplay are also in the running for best album.
The 65th ceremony will air live on Sunday, February 5, from Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena.
The special ceremony's broadcast time, hosts, presenters, and performers are due to be announced soon.
It's been a meteoric rise for Wet Leg, whose self-titled album went to number one back in April.

The release sold more vinyl copies in week one than any other album released in the past 30 years.
As well as smashing straight in at No.1 on the UK Official Album Chart, it also went straight in at No.1 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart.
It was the first time an Isle of Wight act scored a No.1 UK album, and the band have garnered praise from across the globe.
