SOUTHERN Vectis is running a service on Christmas Day, the bus operator has confirmed.

Its timetable has been released for across the festive period on the Isle of Wight.

A spokesperson said: "Christmas is fast approaching and we know it is essential for you to keep connected to family and friends this festive time. 

"We want to make sure you make the most of the festive period, whether your a local or a visitor to the Isle of Wight."

  • Friday, December 23: Normal Friday timetable
  • Christmas Eve: Saturday timetable without nightbuses
  • Christmas Day: special Christmas Day timetable 
  • Boxing Day: Normal Sunday timetable
  • Tuesday, December 27: Normal Sunday timetable
  • Wednesday, December 28: Normal Wednesday timetable
  • Thursday, December 29: Normal Thursday timetable
  • Friday, December 30: Normal Friday timetable
  • New Year’s Eve: Saturday timetable with nightbuses
  • New Year’s Day: Normal Sunday timetable
  • Monday, January 2: Normal Sunday timetable
  • Tuesday, January 3 onwards: All timetables return to normal
