ISLE of Wight’s Christ the King College has announced its new headteacher, replacing outgoing head Kevin McDermott, starting next year.
Andrew Montrose, who has nearly twenty years senior leadership experience in three faith schools in north-west England, will become the new headteacher in January.
With a teaching background in physical education and English, Andrew says his faith, family and sport are all very important to him.
He pledges that faith and high standards in everything they do will be the foundation for future success at Christ the King College.
Andrew said: “I am both excited and privileged to have been given this opportunity to lead this wonderful community.
“My educational vision is based on equality of access to everything we have to offer our students within and outside the curriculum, and in creating an aspirational culture across the college.
“I wish to build on the many successes Christ the King has had and to forge strong relationships with everyone associated with the college – students, parents, staff, Governors, the two Dioceses and the Local Authority.
“I look forward to meeting as many parents as I can in 2023 and to work towards forming strong partnerships with everyone in the wider community.”
