AN ISLE of Wight nightclub is running a special event on the first Wednesday of every month, for adults with special educational needs.
Fever & Boutique, based at Newport, has been running these events since May, and the turnout has been fantastic.
As well as a dance floor, the club also has a sensory room, for those who might want a quieter experience.
Manager, Luke Bontoft, said: "We were approached around six months ago by Ryde House Group, asking if we wanted to put on an event.
"We thought: no brainer, really. It's a lovely thing to see, and ever since the first night, it's been onwards and upwards.
"We just provide a safe clubbing space for any adult with a learning difficulty.
"The first event was actually on May 4, so it was a Star Wars night — Star Wars themed. It was absolutely brilliant.
"It's always busy on these nights. Any adult with a learning difficulty, who maybe wouldn't normally feel comfortable on a regular Saturday night out, can come to this.
"It goes for two hours at the moment, but we are looking to extend that.
"I expected it to turn out well, but we were blown away on the first night — the queue was enormous.
"We couldn't park in the car park, it was so busy.
"It's five pound entry, and they get a free drink when they come in.
"The theme changes every month. We've done back to school disco, a beach party theme, Halloween, and we're going to do a Christmas theme in December.
"Some of their dance moves are brilliant, and they're always asking for songs. One the older lads loves his Bob Marley — some reggae."
Deputy manager, Rachel Mackett, said: "We set it up really, just to give people of all ages — mixed abilities — a chance to have a nightclub experience.
"We have a lot of regulars now, and a lot of parents coming down, too.
"We're always impressed with the costumes, and we have so many different ages coming down.
"It's a really good time, and we don't have any trouble — everyone's happy.
"It's honestly my favourite night, working here. I absolutely love it."
Among those to attend is 22-year-old Cameron May, of Shanklin.
He said he came for a bit of fun and a laugh, and he is a bit of a regular at Fever — not just on Wednesdays, but on the weekends, too.
"Only recently, I've been coming on Fridays and Saturdays," said Cameron, who hasn't missed an event since its inception.
"It's good. I most look forward to the music."
Another who was keen to party was Dylan Atkins, of Ryde.
The 19-year-old already has plans to celebrate his 21st birthday in Vegas, and says he knows he's "getting old".
"I feel it already," said Dylan.
Asked what he was going to do in Vegas, Dylan said: "Probably travel. Maybe get my own statue.
"You never know, I might even bring a wife back home. Anything can happen in Vegas.
"I've been going to Fever every month.
"I always get the munchies, every time I drink. I love my savoury stuff.
"It's always been busy."
Asked if he was glad such an event was being put on, Dylan said: "Oh yes."
"I like my pubs, I like my nightclubs."
