Hovertravel services are off until this evening (Wednesday), due to a technical problem.
UPDATE 17.45pm: Services have resumed from Ryde, and will continue from Southsea at 6pm.
The cross-Solent operator says tickets are being accepted on the replacement FastCat service, from Ryde Pier Head.
It follows a week of trouble for Hovertravel, caused by strong winds and heavy rain.
Meanwhile, a charter vessel has been replacing Wightlink FastCats, between Ryde and Portsmouth, after Wight Ryder 2 sustained propeller damage on Monday night.
Its sister ship is already out for a refit.
It's hoped Wight Ryder II will be back in service at 1.15pm tomorrow, Wightlink has tweeted.
Elsewhere, Island Line will be out of service from 7pm, due to strike action by mainland-based signallers.
A normal service will resume tomorrow (Thursday), at 7am.
A minibus service will run between Ryde Pier Head and Ryde Esplanade and a separate replacement bus service will run between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin, while Island Line is out of action.
