Nearly 1000 knitted poppies, created by Asda customers and members of the Brading Community Partnership's Knit and Natter group, are on display in the Newport store until Remembrance Day, with donations to the Royal British Legion and cancer charity Tickled Pink.

The East Cowes crafters have put up their knitted poppies in the town and local shops have dressed their front windows, too.

In Alverstone, even the post box is marking Remembrance, thanks to the efforts of crafter Caroline Soley. This photo was shared with the Isle of Wight County Press by her daughter, Georgia Soley.
