Isle of Wight houses and businesses without water after burst main

MANY homes and businesses are without water this evening, after a major burst main on Forest Road, Newport.

Southern Water is on site repairing the burst.

They advise the water supply should return to normal within three hours.

People may notice some discolouration or low pressure at first, which is normal after a disruption to the supply and is only temporary.

Southern Water apologised for any inconvenience caused.

The Hare and Hounds public house is one business affected. It has had to close for the evening.

Postcodes affected include some in PO30, PO31 and PO33.
